Introduction to acupuncture and Jian Madesen
Acupuncture, originating in China more than 5,000 years ago, is a natural medicine, non-drug therapy without side effects. It is one of the most popular skills in traditional Chinese medical science.
An acupuncturist inserts fine disposable needles into points on the surface of the body. It is believed to be a medical method that employs external treatment to cure internal disease. The functions of acupuncture are activating Qi flow and blood circulation and removing Qi stagnation and blood stasis, dredging the body’s channels and collaterals, Tonic organs, improving immunity and maintaining health. It is through channeling of Qi flow and the application of special methods that the disease is cured, and a balance of the body is achieved.
In addition to acupuncture, Herbs also constitute a kind of Chinese medicine. These herbs are made of natural plants and foods that have no side effects. Chinese medicine also uses Moxa, cupping, ear needles, scalp needles, blood pricking, and scrapping (GuaSha,) and electric needles.
